3. I have set before you life and death ; CHOOSE LIFE !

Deuteronomy 30 :19-20

19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

20 That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

Disobedience leads to death.

When we do not do what God tells us to dowe get our own selves outside His holy protection because we place ourselves outside His will.

By acting like thatwe therefore choose the way of wandering which is characterized by difficulties and spiritual attacksActuallysome attacks do not always come from the fact that we are in Christ but they may simply result from our disobedience.

/!\ God has not sent you towards that way, what are you doing there, where God is not but Satan and his demons are!

In the endthe way of wandering leads to death if we do not repent by turning away from this way of disobedience

Thus, let us try our hardest to be sensitive to the voice of the Master by walking by the Spirit so that we do not resist Him because Our God is a redoubtable GodWho can stand in front of His Majestyin front of His All-power! To obey is better than sacrifice(Samuel 15 :22)

Let us therefore surrender body, soul and spirit to Our great God, Jesus Christ of Nazareth because He gives grace unto the humble but resists the proud(Jacques 4 :6; 1 Pierre 5 :5)

Yesdisobedience originates from pride because by acting in this waywe disobey GodWellto disobey, is: not subjecting oneself to the rules submitted by someone or an authorityConsequently, this is rebellion

The story of Jonah teaches us a lot about this subject from A to Z. Indeed, Jonah wanted to do his own justice, whereas the Scriptures tell us clearly that this is God, namely: The Lord Jesus, who is the Righteous Judge (Ps 9 :5 ; 2 Ti 4 :8)Therefore, we cannot compete with Him

In additionwe can only submit ourselves when we are humble. Abrahamcalled « father of faith », is a good example of humilityIn facthe accepted to followwithout grumbling, nor even calling into question the orders that he had received from the Lord telling him to take his only son and sacrifice himConsequently, he did nothing else than submitting himselfThus, obedience results from our faith in GodNowwhat is faith, if not the hope for the things that are not seen? Ifact, faith produces patience until the things we hope for come to a successful conclusion

Hebrews 11 : 1

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen

James 1 : 3-4

3 … The trying of your faith worketh patience.

4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

God tells you to do something?

Do it without any hesitation and without trying to understand because He is sovereign and He does whatever He will.

He is righteous, so everything he does is good and perfect.

Have faith in HimThe shield of faith keeps us in humility in order to protect ourselves from disobediencepride, seduction, etc.

When all those things come and we brandish the shield of faithall those bad things ricochet! Alleluia!

Thus, let us not resist this great and wonderful God that we serve, out of love for Him – because He first loved us and we deserve nothing – and in order not to provoke the wrath of this redoubtable God, yet good and merciful, who is Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Let us walk in the fear of His Name, by a holy reverence and a deep respect for Himbecause it is the least that we can do

WE OWE HIM LIFE

Alleluia!

All the glory belongs to Jesus!
